Menu of Services

Unity Circle is a 501 (c) (3) community building ministry. We offer workshops, seminars, coaching and consulting to support non-profits to deepen and vitalize their internal community. This includes discovering personal and corporate vision, mission and goals as well as developing action plans, communication skills, and an awareness of the dynamics of the community.

We define:

Community: An interactive life enhancing environment.
Spiritual Community: An interactive life enhancing environment maintained for the purpose of encouraging the expression of spiritual gifts and the individual souls purpose.

Teaching

Lessons / Lectures – 20 – 35 minutes - Sunday Lesson based on Unity, New Thought or Bible as well as informational and inspirational talks on Community Building, Peacemaking, Visioning, Coaching, Restorative Justice and Sustainability. Or; Tailored to your specific situation or needs.

Workshops

  • Embodying Personal Vision

    - Three sessions each two weeks apart, a total of fourteen hours plus follow-up as needed.
  • Teambuilding

    – An initial six hour session to establish the team vision, mission and action plan with a two hour follow up to develop skills.
  • Congregational

    – Two hour experiential workshops to explore any of the above topics.
  • Healthy Congregations

    – Fri evening and Saturday. Apply family systems theory to congregational life to prevent anxiety from becoming toxic.
  • Trainings

    Board - Two four hour sessions based on Unity’s Board Effectiveness training with communication guidelines from Community Building and Non-Violent Communications.

    Facilitating

  • Organizational meetings

    – I will provide a structure, with agreement of the parties, which will facilitate communication, understanding and community.
  • Peacemaking Circles

    – These, as long as it takes, circles provide an environment in which current disagreements and hurts can be shared and released allowing the re-establishment and strengthening of community.
  • Community Group Conferences

    - Otherwise called Family Group Conferencing this one time circle including pre-conferencing and follow up is designed to discover the harm done and to repair that harm.
  • Healing Issues from the Past

    – In a one hour workshop individuals contribute to a graphic organizational history which creates a context for the, as long as it takes, healing circle in which individuals are encouraged to share hurts and frustrations from the past with the agreement that they will release them.
  • Visioning

    - Series of three two hour sessions to establish core values, vision, mission and an action plan.
  • Consulting

    Designing a process and applying the above skills to your specific situation.

    Some guidelines which promote effective pastoral support are:

  • 1) Listen without interrupting. Draw out the other persons feelings and beliefs.
  • 2) Tell them what you heard them say, not how you felt or what you thought about it.
  • 3) Let them correct your perception. Restate what they said.
  • 4) Watch your thoughts and feelings, they will reveal your own issue, deal with it later
  • 5) Do not offer solutions, encourage persons to look within, demonstrate your faith in Christ in them.
  • 6) Use I statements to share your experience, hope, and inspiration.
  • 7) Whenever someone has a complaint about another support them in dealing directly with that person. Do not allow triangulation.
  • 8) Ask for what you want so others have a chance to support you.
  • All services will be provided for the cost of travel, food, and lodging plus a love offering.
